Everything you ever wanted to know about natural health food and more!
There have been a lot of talk lately about organic food and there as just many skeptics as there are devotees. Despite the many scientific research that has shown organic food being better, a lot of people are still not convinced that its for them, one of the reasons could be is that organic food command a higher price. But aside from that, there is nothing else. Organic food offers so much more and the price difference is just a minute deflection from what they could actually offer.
Some of the more popular reasons why people are going organic is that they taste better and they reduce the number of chemicals that go into our body decreasing the chance of us getting afflicted with various diseases. But aside from those, there are also other reasons why going organic is the better choice.
Eating organic meat assures that the animal has been treated better with better living conditions and that means you won't be eating chemically laden animals that could have been sickly, you definitely wouldn’t want a sickly animal to be the source of your nutrients. Certified organic farms are governed by certain criteria to allow them to remain as such.
Antibodies are not allowed to be given to animals that want to be branded as an organic food. So, in order for it to be antibiotic free, an organic animal should be kept in clean living stations. They should be given apt attention to keep them healthy. They are treated better and are given proper food and exercise.
If ever a disease or an illness attacks the animal and it has to be given antibiotics, the animal will then be moved from their organic farm to a non-organic farm, making it to lose its status as a future organic food. So when you buy organic meat, you can be assured that they don’t have illnesses and they don’t have any chemicals in their bodies that can move into yours.
Buying organic food and making it your staple choice can help the environment. If more and more people will be eating organic food, there will be a higher demand for it so this means that there will be more farms that will be converting and dedicating themselves to organic farming. This again in turn means that there will be fewer chemicals that will be used for their farming.
With less chemicals being used, there will be less contaminations on our water and our soil. We would have a cleaner environment and fewer diseases. This could also mean a significant help to the thinning ozone layer and halt the greenhouse effect. Alone, you may not have much impact, but if we ask our friends and they ask their friends, we could make our world a better place.
Another good reason in buying organic food is letting people know that you love your body and your environment. With so many processes involving chemicals and gene manipulations to grow more profits and producing "good" products, a lot of harmful effects can happen to our bodies. If more of us decide to go with organic food, more and more food producers would take notice and go organic.
It's high time we give our share to the planet that houses us. As we take care of our own homes, let us take care of our planet as well. Going organic can help a lot in doing so.
