Just out of curiosity, only one apple or orange will suffice? 30 grams of carbs seems very little to me to complete an intensive hour of weightlifting. And what about adding simple sugars, such as yogurt into the mix? Good or bad?

  7. Haloreznor99 says:

I eat a pear before I workout because I don’t like apples and eating an orange before I lift gives me acid reflux.

vitamin c reduces cortisol too, right?

  9. TheHouDeani says:

orange have quercitin too!!! super critical

  10. dirtyc says:

I don’t know what really to take away from that…
You say the apple contains polyphenols – which are critical to muscle building.
Then you say oranges have Vitamin C – which promotes nitric oxide…ALSO critical to muscle building.

That’d be great if you could make it clear when/why you’d want one or the other, but you arguments seem to suggest that they are interchangable.

    Am I misunderstanding something?
