    Hello,

    Thanks for sharing.

Is it true that while the cleanse is very effective for removing bad bacteria, it also removes the good bacteria? If this is true, please give some instructions about replacing the good bacteria.

    Thanks in advance.

@finallyfoundaname01 Those with senna leaf or cascara segrada.

  3. PeterGlickman says:

@2008Raw2008 I don’t know about other sea salts, but Celtic Sea Salt, which is what I include in my ingredients kit is laboratory tested and contains no mercury. That said, any salt that is from the sea current or ancient will work as long as it hasn’t been processed.

  4. PeterGlickman says:

@glamouresqtv 1) Drink it as rapidly as possible. 2) Count the swallows to get your mind off the taste. 3) Use a straw. 4) substitute another cup of lax tea in the am. 5) It gets easier the more you do the cleanse. Apparently, the salt reacts with the mucus in the body. So, as the body gets cleaner, the salt water is easier to drink.

  5. PeterGlickman says:

@FishermansDick You can do the swf without being on the MC. Just be sure you do it on an empty stomach. If not it can make you quite nauseated.

  6. PeterGlickman says:

@tigerfur11 We Americans have to import sea salt in most cases. So, I should think gourmet shops in the UK should stock it. And yes you should do the swf every morning or drink another cup of lax tea in the am.

  7. PeterGlickman says:

@iceskater204498 Believe me, when you get the salt right in the swf it works! If you haven’t been able to get it to work, it may be that your previous diet was heavily meat and cheese. It sometimes takes a few days. You can substitute another cup of lax tea in the am for the swf. Do not do the swf after you have eaten anything or drunk any lemonade that day.

  8. PeterGlickman says:

@iceskater204498 Children who are still growing should not do the cleanse unless they have asthma or something similar. The 2000 Fasting Conference of Buryatia Russia contains scientific papers recommending fasting (MC is a juice fast) for asthma, high blood pressure and several other conditions. There is no protein on the cleanse to supply muscle growth. It’s fine for adults. See “Fasting, The Ultimate Diet” by Allan Cott, MD for more on that point. It’s on Amazon.

  9. PeterGlickman says:

@chrm09 Absolutely not! Someone from another country did that & his teeth loosened! Stanley Burroughs, the developer of the MC, says don’t do it & so do I. Maple syrup has 12 times the calcium of honey. Calcium is used by the body to neutralize acid toxins. If there are not sufficient mineral reserves or it’s not supplied in the diet, the body will take it from the bones and teeth. That’s why we have an epidemic of osteoporosis. Lack of calcium from greens and too much sugar=acid diet.

  10. PeterGlickman says:

@chrm09 Yes or drink another cup of lax tea in the am.

  11. PeterGlickman says:

@ragghy Drink the swf every morning. Allow 2 hours from drinking it before leaving the house. If you can’t for some reason drink the swf, drink another cup of lax tea in the morning in addition to the cup of lax tea every night.

  12. PeterGlickman says:

@alidaw4 Nursing women are generally urged to seek advise from their licensed health care practitioner to be safe. I did get an email from a midwife who said in her 20+ years of recommending the MC to her pregnant and nursing women, she never had any problems. So, you’ll have to use your own good judgement on that.

  13. PeterGlickman says:

@saintveil Table salt is that dangerous in large quantities. However, when you get the amount of salt correct, the specific gravity of the salt water equals that of the blood and the salt is not picked up by the blood and the water is not picked up by the kidneys, which is what allows it to flush through the body.

  14. PeterGlickman says:

@ZawadiSimone I began recommending taking a box or bottle of probiotics according to the directions on the box or bottle right after a person returns to solid food to replace the good bacteria when I saw that it turned off some cravings I had after my third or fourth cleanse.

  15. saintveil says:

    Magnesium is much safer, IMO…

  16. glamouresqtv says:

Thanks for replying…I also wanted to know what if i use Organic maple syrup grade A? Is it still safe? I know Im suppose to use grade B but in the area where i live its impossible to find.

  17. PeterGlickman says:

@glamouresqtv Any grade is acceptable, but the darker ones are preferred. You can order some from the web store at TheRawFoodSite (dot) com (slash) store.

  18. kimoni6 says:

what should i get to start this cleanse and how much salt should i use. I’m also breast feeding and what is MC? Thanx for the advice.

  19. bringdawhl says:

do you need to drink the whole quart of the salt water? I have no idea how someone can finish all of that within 15 minutes without becoming sick.

  20. notmyeverything says:

I almost died on the first try

  21. PeterGlickman says:

@bringdawhl Just drink it as fast as you can if you need to take more than 15 minutes, do it. You’ll know you get it right when you have several urgent eliminations within an hour of drinking it.

  22. PeterGlickman says:

@notmyeverything Ahhhh…Think of the great stories you can tell :)

  23. MyMusic411 says:

i literaly just did it right now gulping it down through a straw and almost through up. am i dirinking it to quickly?

  24. Jeremydavid83 says:

I used Himalayan pink salt crystals, which is not sea salt and it does the job, but is sea salt better? I made the mistake of buying this one, thought it was pink sea salt, lol

  25. ZawadiSimone says:

Thanks again. However, I have some more questions:

Can I exercise during the liquid diet?

Is maple syrup absolutely necessary for some purpose other than taste?

Can I use lemons and limes interchangeably?
